Applying for a used car loan online is the easiest and most convenient way to get financing from the comfort of your home. Here is a general explanation of how the application and verification processes typically work online:
ONLINE APPLICATION FORM: You will have to start by going to the lender's website. When navigating the online application process, you will complete the necessary information for a loan application. You will need to provide information about yourself, your employment, your finances, and the used car you want to buy.
UPLOAD DOCUMENTS: Once you submit your application form, there will be an option to upload your documents needed to continue with the application process.
As a general rule your documents will be:
- KYC documents, i.e., Aadhaar, PAN or passport;
- proof of income, i.e., salary slips, bank statements or IT returns;
- proof of address; and
- car related documents, i.e., registration certificate and insurance.
INITIAL REVIEW: The lender's team will review your application reviewing whether your details and documents are correct, and checking that everything is complete.
VERIFICATION AND ASSESSMENT: After that the lender will verify your identity, your employment and your financial documents and information. The lender may also have access to your credit score and perform a general assessment for your eligibility.
VEHICLE INSPECTION: In general, you need to arrange a physical inspection of the car. An appointed person will ensure they inspect the condition of the vehicle and confirm it matches the statements and information in your application.
LOAN APPROVAL AND DISBURSAL: When all steps are completed and the vehicle is successfully inspected, the lender will approve the loan. The funds will be deposited in the seller's account or as agreed in the loan contract.
