It is important to check your outstanding loan balance to track repayment progress regularly. Here are some ways to check your loan balance:
- Log in to your loan provider’s website or mobile app using your credentials. The dashboard will display your current principal balance and other loan details.
- Register for SMS alerts to receive regular updates on loan balance directly from your lender after every EMI deduction.
- Email reminders and payment receipts sent by loan providers will generally mention the latest balance. Retain these carefully.
- Call your loan provider's customer care number. Provide loan account details to get outstanding balance information.
- Track your loan account in your credit report, which is updated monthly. This will show the remaining principal amount.
- The annual statement will have details of the opening balance, interest paid, principal outstanding, etc.
