Does FD Renew Automatically?

Fixed Deposits (FDs) do not renew automatically unless you have specifically opted for an auto-renewal option when opening the FD. If you choose auto-renewal, the bank or financial institution will reinvest the matured amount (principal + interest) into a new FD for the same tenure and at the prevailing interest rate.

If auto-renewal is not selected, the FD amount will be credited to your linked bank account upon maturity. It's always a good idea to check the renewal options and terms with your bank to ensure your FD is managed according to your preferences.
