What documents are required to apply for an agricultural loan?

Here is a list of key documents typically required when applying for an agricultural loan:

  • Loan Application Form: Fill your personal details, business profile, loan amount needed, repayment capacity, etc.
  • Identity Proof: Documents such as Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, passport, etc., as per Know Your Customer (KYC) norms.
  • Address Proof: Voter ID, Aadhaar, electricity/telephone bill, ration card, etc.
  • Financial Statements: Past 2-3 years of Income Tax Returns (ITRs), profit and loss statements, balance sheets, etc.
  • Collateral: Documents related to assets pledged as collateral like farmland, title deeds, gold valuation certificates, agricultural machinery and other assets.
  • Quotations: For loans involving farm equipment purchase, quotations from suppliers are required.
  • Project Report: For loans for new agri ventures, a project report with technical and economic feasibility may be required.
  • Co-applicant KYC: Identity and address documents for co-applicants or guarantors, if applicable.
  • Cultivation Details: In some cases, records of crops grown, production figures, sales receipts, cost estimates, etc., may be asked for higher loan amounts or large-scale farming activities.
