When senior citizens and pensioners apply for a gold loan, they need to submit certain documents to the bank or Non-banking Financial Company (NBFC) as part of the application process. The key documents required are:

  • Identity Proof: PAN card, Aadhaar card, driving licence or passport
  • Age Proof: PAN card, Aadhaar card, driving licence, passport or birth certificate
  • Address Proof: Aadhaar card, driving license, utility bill or ration card
  • Income Proof: Latest pension payment slips or bank account statements reflecting pension credits. Form 16 may also be required
  • Retirement Proof: Pension payment order, employer certificate or retirement notification letter
  • Ownership Proof of Gold: Receipts of gold purchase or old bank loan against the same jewellery
  • Photographs: Recent Passport-size photographs

Additionally, pensioners may need to provide Know Your Customer (KYC) documents such as bank account proof and Non-Non-Resident Indian (NRI) status certificates (if applicable).
