What are the implications if i don’t have a credit score?

If you don’t have a credit score, getting approved for loans or credit cards in India can be more challenging. Lenders use credit scores to judge your repayment track record and overall reliability. Without this information, they find it harder to assess your creditworthiness.

You may be asked to provide extra documents, such as proof of income, employment details, or bank statements. Lenders might also require you to offer collateral or bring in a guarantor to reduce their risk. In many cases, you may be offered a lower loan amount or face higher starting interest rates compared to someone with a credit history.

Not having a credit score doesn’t mean you can’t access credit. It just means you need to take extra steps.
