Can I calculate discounts for future purchases using the Discount Calculator?

The Discount Calculator allows you to compute discounts only on current or past purchases where the original prices are known. It cannot directly calculate discounts for future purchases. However, there are a couple of ways you can estimate discounts on future buys:

  • Assume a hypothetical price based on current market rates or historical averages for the item. Use this assumed price as a placeholder in the calculator to get an estimate of the discounted price. Adjust the assumed price accordingly later once the actual price is known.
  • If you know the expected discount percentage, apply it manually to your assumed future price. For example, if you expect a 20% discount on a product you estimate will cost ₹500 in future, calculate 20% of ₹500, which is ₹100. So, the expected discounted price will be approximately ₹400.
  • Use the discount calculator on a similar purchase from the past. If the conditions are expected to remain the same, the discount value can act as a benchmark for future discounts.
