Most standard discount calculators allow you to calculate discounts on only one item at a time. However, there are a few ways to calculate discounts for multiple items together:
- You can use the discount calculator repeatedly to calculate the discounted price of each item separately. Just enter the original price of one item at a time and note down the discounted prices.
- Make a list of all the item prices in an excel spreadsheet. Apply the discount rate as a formula to get the discounted prices for the whole list together. This allows you to see the total discount amount as well.
- You can manually calculate the total original price and discount percentage to derive the total discounted price for all items. For example, if you have 3 items of ₹100, ₹200 & ₹150 with a 20% discount, the total original price is ₹450. 20% of ₹450 is ₹90. So, the total discounted price for all 3 items is ₹450 - ₹90 = ₹360.
