Does Phone Bill Affect Credit Scores in India?

The phone bill payment history does not affect your credit score in India. While paying your phone bills on time might save you from certain negative consequences including paying late payment penalties, it cannot impact your credit score. 

Your credit score is calculated using your credit history. The credit history is a summary of the loans that you have availed and the repayments against them. Phone bills are recurring, like EMIs (equated monthly instalments). But, at the same time, they are payments for a service, not a repayment of a loan or credit that has been extended to you. So, regularly paying your phone bill on time or missing phone bill payments will not have any effect on your credit score.
