Upon maturity, you have several options for your Fixed Deposit:
- Withdraw the Funds: You can withdraw the principal, and the interest earned. The amount will be credited to your linked bank account.
- Reinvest in a New FD: You can choose to reinvest the maturity amount in a new Fixed Deposit. You may reinvest the principal alone or both the principal and the interest earned.
- Auto-Renewal: If no instructions are provided, some banks automatically renew the FD for the same tenure at the prevailing interest rate. It's essential to check the terms and update your instructions before maturity if you prefer a different option.
It's advisable to check with your financial institution for their specific policies regarding FD maturity.
