If you use BBPS to pay bills, your mobile number receives alerts and confirmations. However, BBPS does not manage your mobile number directly; it is linked through the platform you use—such as a banking app, wallet, or website. To update your mobile number for BBPS payments, you must do so via the platform where you transact.

Common Ways to Update Your Mobile Number

1. Through a Mobile App

If you use a mobile payment app or banking app to access BBPS:

  • Open the app and go to your profile or account settings.
  • Look for the option to change your mobile number.
  • Enter the new number and follow the verification steps (you will receive an OTP).
  • Once verified, your new number will be updated for all future bill payments.

2. Through Net Banking

If you use internet banking:

  • Sign in to your online banking portal.
  • Navigate to the profile or personal information section.
  • Select ‘Update Mobile Number’.
  • Verify using your debit card or net banking credentials.

3. By Visiting the Branch

Some banks and NBFCs may ask you to visit the nearest branch to update your personal details. Carry a valid ID proof and request an update at the service counter.
