You can recharge a new prepaid plan to get enhanced benefits while upgrading your existing plan. For example, if you're on a basic plan and need more data or extended validity, just upgrade your plan to a higher value and recharge your number. New plan would get activated as per your operator’s process.
On some occasions, the new plan will begin immediately, on others it may queue and be activated after your existing plan ends. Unused benefits of your old plan may or may not roll over, depending on the plan, and the operator. In some cases, benefits accrue, and some operators reset the balance when you activate a new plan.
Before recharging, always check the terms of your new plan. On questions about plan compatibility, activation timelines and how upgrades will be processed, consult your operator’s app or website for these details. If you aren’t sure, reach out to customer support to ask for some advice.
Boosting a prepaid plan can be a good way to get better service for your money particularly if your usage has gone up or you’re able to find a better offer. You can update as many times you need to, so your plan always fits your needs. It’s also useful if you know anything is going to change in your routine, like you will be travelling or working from a remote location, you might need more data for the day or more validity in your pack. There are special promotional plans offered by many operators from time to time, thus a little bit of keeping an eye on the special offers can help you get great offers at the same price too.
