Most schools and colleges do not charge any additional convenience or service fee for accepting payments online. The fee collection portals are usually integrated directly with the institute's bank accounts and payment gateways without extra mediators.
So whether you pay through credit card, debit card, net banking, UPI, or any other digital mode, the amount to be paid will be only what you intended to submit as academic or admission fees on the institute's online portal. No hidden charges or commissions are involved in the process from the institute's end.
However, your bank may levy nominal charges per its policies. For example, credit card firms charge a convenience fee for using cards for such payments. Similarly, remittance transfers via NEFT/RTGS also have slight bank charges instead of UPI or net banking, but such costs are minimal.
