Recharge the wrong mobile number by accident? It's a common mistake, particularly when you're rushed or multitasking, and if this happens, there's no need to panic- act fast to help resolve the issue.

First, get in touch with the customer service of the platform or app you made the recharge on. Most of the digital recharges in India have a helpdesk, or chat option, where you can talk to support. Give them every piece of information requested: transaction ID, the payment method, the amount, and the mobile number that was incorrectly recharged. The customer support will check if they can reverse or refund the recharge. Once a recharge is completed, it is usually credited directly to the incorrect number immediately, so a reversal is complicated.

If you made the recharge at a retail shop, return to the outlet as quickly as possible, show the payment receipt, and explain the mistake to them. They may be able to call the operator's distributor or support team for you.
