Switching your mobile network through Mobile Number Portability (MNP) doesn’t mean that you can’t recharge your mobile number. After carrying out a number porting operation, you can still continue with all the recharge methods which you used before such as online platforms, apps and retail stores. The unchanged process remains just as easy and familiar as before.
The vital point is, of course, that you must select the correct operator while doing the recharge. If you decide on the wrong operator, then not only your recharge may fail but also the amount may not be registered in your account. Most of the recharge websites, apps and retail outlets in India will allow you to choose the operator before confirming the payment. After porting always be sure that the name under which you are recharging is that of your new operator. This not only avoids failed transactions but also enables your recharge to be correctly applied.
Upon successful completion of the recharge, an SMS will be sent to you by the operator to confirm the recharge. This message is a confirmation that your balance and/or validity have been adjusted according to the plan you have selected. If the recharge is not visible in your account, or if you face any kind of difficulty, reach out to your new operator’s customer service. Access to the transaction details will speed up the process of finding the solution.
Every time you recharge do not forget to double check your mobile number and operator. It’s a very simple step that not only saves time but also prevents you from making a mistake. Certainly, a switch of a network will not complicate the recharge process. Only be careful and you will still be able to enjoy uninterrupted mobile services no matter which operator you have switched to.
